What we do
To begin with an Essential Skills in the Workplace Development Manager will meet with you and your employer to carry out an initial skills assessment.
Once we identify your needs you will be allocated your own dedicated Essential Skills Coach who will visit you in your workplace once a month to develop your skills on the job, ensuring the training is based on the precise skills you need to develop in your job role.
How does the programme work?
Registration
An Essential Skills in the Workplace Development Manager will meet with you to discuss the programme in more detail and complete a business registration form; they will also carry out an initial skills assessment of staff which will enable us to identify those employees that are eligible for funding and help us to develop a programme of support and learning specific to their individual needs. On completion of the initial skills assessments all learners embarking on the programme will complete a learner registration form.
Delivery
Each learner is allocated their own personal Essential Skills Personal Development Manager who will tailor a programme specific to the learners needs. The personal coach will visit them in the workplace, at least once a month for a minimum of two hours, however, the visits are flexible depending on the learners needs. Typically it takes 26 hours to complete the 3 elements of the Essential Skills in the Workplace Programme depending on the individual’s entry level and ability to learn.
